BACKGROUND
Macrocarpa is the core shelter belt tree on many farms in New Zealand. It struggles in the warmer climates in the north of New Zealand where it suffers from stem canker, which eventually kills the tree. But in the cold south Macrocarpa grows well and is in good supply as belts are generally trimmed and maintained on a regular regime. It is a wonderful oil to distill and flows well, yielding about 0.5%.
FRAGRANCE
Macrocarpa has an herbaceous, warm and woody aroma. Evergreen with a slightly sweet and balsamic undertone.
USES
Macrocarpa can be used in aromatherapy to clear the mind and reduce feelings of anxiety and stress.
