BACKGROUND
Tea Tree grows in Australia and is where the main supply of this oil comes from. But in New Zealand there are currently only two growers of this plant. Our source is in the North Island, Helensville where there are a number of hectares of this wonderful plant. The growers operates one of the steam vacuum stills designed by Paul and the oil is proving to be just as good as that grown in Australia. Clearly the warm weather up north and the abundant water suits this plant "right down to the ground"!
FRAGRANCE
Tea Tree has a very "hygienic" smell. Clear, evergreen and leathery - so not an oil for your diffuser.
USES
Tea tree has a large number of uses due to its antiseptic properties. Good for acne and cuts and commonly used after tattoos and piercings. Combined with a carrier, it's a good household cleaner.
